Concierge Psychiatric Medication Management in Bryn Mawr, PA
What is Psychiatric Medication Management?
Psychiatric medication management is the ongoing process of prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting psychotropic medications for conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and sleep disturbance. At Bryn Mawr Mental Health and Wellness, medication management visits are 30 focused minutes with your Bryn Mawr psychiatrist — long enough to actually talk through how you're feeling, review response and side effects, and make thoughtful adjustments rather than default refills.
Personalized Prescribing on the Main Line
Our approach to medication management on the Main Line is deliberately conservative and evidence-based. We prescribe SSRIs, SNRIs, stimulants and non-stimulants for ADHD, mood stabilizers, and sleep support only when the clinical picture calls for them — and we take medication tapering just as seriously as starting a new prescription. When clinically useful, we use pharmacogenomic (genetic) testing to guide selection, and we integrate care with our in-house therapists so treatment stays coherent instead of siloed.
Access Between Visits
Concierge medication management means direct, secure access to your psychiatrist between appointments — not a portal message that disappears into a queue. If a medication isn't working, a side effect appears, or a life event calls for a check-in, you can reach your clinician the same week. Refills, prior authorizations, and coordination with your primary care physician are handled by us, not by you.
Frequently asked questions about medication management
How often are medication management appointments?
+
Typically every 4–8 weeks while a regimen is being established or adjusted, then every 3 months for stable patients. We tailor the cadence to your clinical needs rather than an insurance rule.
Do you prescribe controlled substances such as stimulants for ADHD?
+
Yes, when clinically appropriate and after a thorough diagnostic evaluation. We follow evidence-based ADHD prescribing practices and Pennsylvania regulations.
Can I do medication management by telehealth in Pennsylvania?
+
Yes — most follow-up medication management visits can be conducted via secure video anywhere in Pennsylvania, with in-person visits available at our Bryn Mawr office when preferred.
