Raena Khorram, MD
Dr. Raena Khorram is a Harvard-trained, board-certified psychiatrist and the founder of Bryn Mawr Mental Health and Wellness — a boutique concierge practice designed for patients who expect more from their mental health care.
After years inside large hospital systems and insurance-driven clinics, Dr. Khorram built Bryn Mawr Mental Health and Wellness around a simple conviction: the most important thing a psychiatrist can offer is time. Time to listen, time to think, and time to build a plan that actually fits the person in front of her.
Dr. Khorram is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New York, and she is the only clinician at Bryn Mawr Mental Health and Wellness who offers virtual concierge psychiatric services to patients located in New York. She works with high-functioning, high-earning adults throughout greater New York State — executives, founders, attorneys, physicians, and creatives who need discreet, responsive psychiatric care that travels with them.
Whether you are in Bryn Mawr, Manhattan, or anywhere across New York State, Dr. Khorram provides continuity: unhurried evaluations, thoughtful medication management, and psychotherapy that is integrated around your life, not a clinic schedule.
Dr. Khorram graduated from Johns Hopkins University and completed a year of health policy research at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia before medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College / Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
She completed her adult psychiatry residency at Cambridge Hospital / Harvard Medical School, where she served as chief of psychopharmacology, and finished a one-year externship at MIT in the Department of Mental Health and Counseling.
Before founding Bryn Mawr Mental Health and Wellness, Dr. Khorram worked as a staff psychiatrist at a large community hospital, treating both adolescents and adults in outpatient and inpatient settings. She has extensive experience with undergraduate and graduate students at Pennsylvania-area schools including Villanova, Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, Penn State, Lehigh, Drexel, Swarthmore, and the University of Pittsburgh — as well as Pennsylvania residents attending college out of state.
She oversees every clinician on the team, ensuring that whether a patient begins with therapy, medication, or both, they receive the same standard of thoughtful, evidence-based, deeply personal care.
